Clara del Rey (1765-1808), was a woman who supported the Spanish army against Madrid’s Napoleonian invasion (1808).

Frequently compared to Agustina de Aragón (“the Spanish Joan of Arc”), she died in the struggle and remained a heroine for history. A street in Madrid now bears her name.
